1. The one question that sorted it out for me
The shot was working. Down 17 pounds and I barely thought about food any more, which was the whole point. But the nausea never really left. Not the throwing-up kind — the low-grade all-day kind, where you're never actually sick but you're never actually right either.
At a family dinner I ended up next to my sister-in-law, who has been a pharmacist for over 20 years. I told her all of it. She stopped me and asked one question:
“Does it follow the shot, or is it there all the time?”
I said what do you mean — it's the shot, the shot causes nausea. She said the shot's nausea usually spikes in the couple of days after your injection and when your dose goes up, and it settles as your body adjusts. Mine didn't do that. Mine was just always there.
