1. It’s sitting on top of the fat. It isn’t made of it.
I see the same patient over and over. The lower belly, right under the belly button, sitting over the jeans no matter what she puts on. And the soft pad under the chin that shows up in every photo no matter which way she turns her head.
She has done all of it. Ab work five days a week. Cut carbs, cut dairy, six straight weeks. Cardio before eating. The gua sha, the face taping, the ice roller in the freezer. Most of them have already priced out a surgery consult. Nothing moved.
Your genes decide where you store fat, and I won't tell you otherwise. But what she's looking at in the mirror is sitting on top of the fat. It isn't made of it. A lot of it is fluid and tension her body is holding onto — which is exactly why the training never shifted it.
